Accept Christ

Jesus Christ,
Champion of Champions

If you truly want to become a champion there is only one way.  Only a relationship
with God will allow you to live the abundant life.  God can and will help you become a real life champion.  All you have to do is accept Him.

We are to live to be like Christ.  Jesus Christ is the truest of all champions.  Jesus came for only one reason.  To save you and me, by dying for our sins.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should
not perish, but have eternal life.(John 3:16)

Why do we need to accept Christ?  Because we are sinners:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.(Rom. 3:23)fall short of the glory of God.(Rom. 3:23)

Your sin separates you from God and it must be punished:

But your iniquities have made a separation between
you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face
from you, so that He does not hear.(Isaiah 59:2)

If not for Jesus Christ our punishment for sin would be death:

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Rom. 6:23)

Because Jesus came and died for you, you can be saved:

For Christ also died for sins once for all, not just for the
unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been
put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit.(1Peter 3:18)

Jesus conquered death and the grave, by rising from the dead on the third day:

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was
raised to life for our justification (vendication).(Rom. 4:25)

God wants a personal relationship with you.  How can you accept Him as your savior and begin that relationship?

1.      Repent of your sins"Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away.(Acts 3:19)  Repentance is the act of turning from and asking God to forgive you for your sins.

2.      Place your faith in Jesus:  Faith is trusting in Jesus.  For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;  it is the gift of God. (Eph. 2:8)

3.      Receive Jesus as Lord and surrender your life to HimIf you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;  For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.( Rom. 10:9-10)

If you understand what you've read and want to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior all you have to do is ask Him to save you.  Pray the prayer that follows or put it into your own words:

Dear Lord Jesus,  I believe you are the Son of God and died to forgive me
of my sins.  I have sinned against you and ask that you forgive me.  I turn
from my sins and want to; Thank you for
saving me and loving me.  In Jesus name. Amen.

I personally want to take just a moment to welcome you to God's family.  You have just made the most important decision of your life.  Not only do I rejoice with you, but so does Jesus.

     So, what's next?

·         Your next step is to get involved in a bible teaching church.

·         Be baptized, baptism is an act of obedience to God and a step that shows others you have accepted Him.  Those who accepted his message were baptized...(Acts 2:41)

·         Study your Bible- The Bible is God's word to you.  To guide you and help you Grow.  "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation."(1 Peter 2:2)

·         Pray.  Communicate with God.  He loves to hear your voice.  God's word says to "Pray continually."(1 Thess. 5:17)

·         Witness to others.  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses...(Acts 1:8)

Congratulations again;  you are now on your way to winning the true championship and being all God has for you.  You have won because the one who lives in you has overcome death and this world.  "The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."(1 John 4:4)

If you have accepted Christ as your savior, please e-mail us, so that we can rejoice with you and be in prayer for you.  We will be willing to help you in any way we can.

God bless you,
